Tipis on the Ridge
Live close to nature in rustic comfort. Sleeping bags, cots and a wood stove provide the necessary sleeping amenities. Outside are two fire pits, a communal oak table and an open shelter where most of camp life happens.
Photo Shed in the Valley
Our class room, and "really" bad weather refuge, is a ten-minute drive away. It also houses the daylight portrait studio.
Camp Life
Local, organic foods make up our meals. All cooking is done communally in our well-equipped, low-impact outdoor kitchen, with tasks for all levels of culinary skill. Then we’ll gather at the large, oak table to eat and socialize, with the Catskill mountains as a backdrop. Between meals, there’s always a fire going, and a pot of Counter Culture coffee brewing, to stimulate conversation and creativity.
Hikes in the Taconic Mountains
Explore the beauty and solitude in and around the Mt. Everett State Reservation and Taconic State Park. Both the park and reservation are located within one of the largest unfragmented forests between Virginia and Maine, spanning three states and designated as one of America's "Last Great Places" by The Nature Conservancy.
